The Copake Iron Works Museum, established in 1845, stands as a testament to the region's rich industrial history. Operating until 1903, this historic site preserves the legacy of iron production in the area. Visitors are welcomed to explore the remnants of this once-thriving ironworks, which include the charcoal blast furnace, blowing engine house, machine shop, office, and powder storage building.
Guided tours of the Museum are offered 2pm to 4pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holiday Mondays from Memorial Day through mid-November.
